Discover the strategy FRAMEWORK successful beauty and wellness brands use to stand out, scale, and sell in crowded markets.

If you’re building a beauty or wellness brand, the challenge often isn’t your product, it’s building a brand people want to buy from.

You have a great idea, a great product, but no clear strategy holding it all together.

You’re unsure:

  • How to clearly position your brand

  • How to define who it’s really for

  • How to explain what makes it different

  • How to turn your idea into a brand people actually trust — and want to buy from

Most founders figure this out through years of trial and error, costly mistakes, or working with expensive strategists.

This course gives you the exact brand strategy process I use with beauty and wellness founders — so you can build a clear, confident brand without the guesswork.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

Led by Mel Jenkinson, Exited Founder & Brand Marketing Strategist for Beauty and Wellness Brands

  • This section lays the foundation for everything that follows. You’ll learn what brand strategy actually is, why it matters so much in beauty and wellness, and how it underpins every successful brand — from product decisions to marketing and growth. We’ll reframe brand strategy as a practical tool, not a fluffy exercise, so you understand how it drives clarity, consistency, and commercial success before you move into defining your own brand.

  • In this section, you’ll set up your own Brand & Marketing Custom GPT — a 24/7 strategy co-pilot trained on your brand. Throughout the course, you’ll plug in your brand foundations (purpose, audience, positioning, messaging) so you can instantly brainstorm stronger content ideas, refine your copy, create customer personas, map campaigns, and stay consistent across every touchpoint.

  • This section helps you define the core foundations your brand is built on — the why, where, how, and principles behind everything you do. These foundations become your decision-making compass, giving you clarity and consistency as you build, launch, and grow your beauty or wellness brand.

Brand Purpose - Why you exist beyond making money.

Brand Vision - Where your brand. is heading.

Brand Mission - What your brand is committed to doing right now.

Brand Values - The principles that guide how your brand shows up.

  • This section is about defining what your brand means in the mind of your customer — and why they should choose you over anyone else. You’ll learn how to deeply understand your audience, analyse your competitors through a strategic lens, and clearly define what makes your brand different, relevant, and memorable in a crowded beauty or wellness market.

Audience Persona - Your audience persona helps you clearly define who your brand is for. You’ll go beyond surface-level demographics to understand your customer’s motivations, desires, pain points, and buying behaviour.

Competitor Analysis - Competitor analysis shows you what else your audience is choosing between — and where the market is oversaturated, repetitive, or missing something important. You’ll learn how to analyse competitors from your customer’s perspective, so you can spot gaps, avoid blending in, and position your brand more strategically.

Brand Differentiator - Brand differentiation defines what makes your brand meaningfully different — not just aesthetically, but strategically. This is where you clarify the unique value your brand offers and what you want to be known for. A strong differentiator helps your brand stand out, build trust faster, and become easier for customers to remember and choose.

  • Your brand persona brings your brand to life by defining how it shows up as a personality. You’ll clarify your brand’s tone of voice, character traits, and emotional presence so your brand feels human, consistent, and recognisable — not faceless or generic. A strong brand persona helps your audience feel like they know you, trust you, and want to engage with you.

Brand Messaging - This defines what you say and how you say it. In this section, you’ll develop clear, consistent messaging that communicates your value, positioning, and point of difference across every touchpoint — from your website and social content to product pages and campaigns. Strong messaging makes it easier for people to understand your brand quickly and confidently choose you.

Brand Story - Your brand story connects everything together through emotion and meaning. You’ll learn how to tell your story in a way that positions your audience as the hero, with your brand as the guide. This section helps you create a story that builds trust, deepens connection, and gives people a reason to care about your brand — beyond the product itself.

  • Your tagline is the distilled essence of your brand — a short, memorable line that captures what you do, who you’re for, and why it matters. In this section, you’ll learn how to create a tagline that goes beyond sounding clever, and instead reinforces your positioning, differentiation, and brand message. A strong tagline makes your brand easier to remember, easier to recognise, and easier to choose.

About Me

Mel Jenkinson

I’m Mel Jenkinson — a brand and marketing strategist for beauty and wellness founders who want to do things differently. I believe that standout brands aren’t built on great products alone — they’re built on clarity, strategy, and meaningful connection with the people who matter most — your customers.

I’ve spent over a decade inside the beauty industry — from launching, scaling, and selling my own multi-six-figure e-commerce beauty business, to working with founders at every stage of their journey. My approach combines real-world experience with strategic rigour, helping brands cut through the noise with positioning, messaging, and growth that actually works.

I started out as a makeup artist and went on to build a brand from scratch, learning firsthand what works — and what doesn’t — in a crowded market. Today, I help founders turn good ideas into great brands, with strategy at the centre of every decision.

This course is built on the same frameworks and strategic thinking I use with my 1:1 clients — simplified, structured, and designed to give you clarity, confidence, and momentum as you build, launch, and grow your beauty or wellness brand.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Absolutely not, this course is designed for first time founders, as well as those who have previous experience. It guides you step by step in how to build a brand strategy from scratch so is perfect for those just starting out.

  • Not necessarily. Brand strategy should be the first place you start when building a brand. This sets the foundations for every decision you make later on when building your business. Even if you don’t yet have your product, packaging or visual branding ready yet, this course is the first place to start.

  • Whilst the course has been designed with beauty and wellness brands in mind, the course will still be beneficial for those who are starting brands in other industries such as lifestyle, accessories, fashion etc. as the framework followed is the same for other product based brands.

  • You will walk away with a fully formed brand strategy document that will ensure you are crystal clear on what makes you different, who you are targeting, what message your brand is delivering, the competitive landscape you are entering into. You will also create a brand and marketing custom GPT that will be trained on your brand for you to use after completing the course as an AI assistant!

  • Yes, this is a self-paced video course that you can go through in your own time. There is also a notion workbook that you will be using throughout the course.

  • The course guides you in creating your own brand and marketing Custom GPT. You will be shown how to train this GPT on your brand so you can use this to help spark inspiration, brainstorm ideas and speed up processes in the future as you build your brand.

  • Absolutely not too late! Brand strategy should ideally be the first project when building a brand, however, many founder’s aren’t aware of this. It is very common for founders to skip brand strategy and then realise they have not positioned their brand to remain competitive in the market, this is where they may find sales are not where they need them to be.

If you are a founder who has already launched, this brand strategy course will help you to go back to the drawing board and re-consider your audience, messaging, positioning and competitor landscape.
